No. The Litex Board is a complete solution and replacement for liquid membrane. It is both waterproof and steam proof and is ready for tiling immediately.
A 13 mm ready-for-tiles and waterproof Litex tilebacker board only weighs about 4 pounds. That makes transportation, handling and installation very easy.
Litex Membrane Boards are certified according to ISO 14001. The boards emit no fumes which equals a good indoor climate to work in during installation. Also, the boards are extremely light weight which makes tranportation, handling and installation very easy. To save waste, we use as little packaging as possible.
